Question 1) Do you know if I have to have Microsoft office installed
before
my computer will accept Microsoft Publisher (it says it doesn't
recognize
the
product code)
This mailing list is for OpenOffice.org .... For MS Office and
product key
questions you'll have to ask Microsoft ...
Question 2) Or...is there any Open Office program that will open up a
Microsoft Publishing Program
The MS publisher format is propriatary to MS and currently OOo cannot
open
and MS pub file (http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?p=114611).
Question 3) Or...is there any way to open up a copy of a
Publishing document
on another computer, and save it as a Open Office document, so that
I can
open it up on my home computer?
Opening a MS Publisher document using something other than MS
Publisher, I
believe, is tricky if not impossible. Again however you may get better
luck
asking MS. Because of this, saving the file as an OOo compatible document
would be even more difficult.
The oft quoted replaceement for MS Publisher is scribus (
http://www.scribus.net) and even that does not support opening Publisher
files.
Reply to the list if you have any further queries...

Actually, Scribus is more professional than Publisher. I'd say Draw
replaces Publisher. :)
