Paul hi Thanks for the fabulously swift response below. Wow - I'm a real convert! New question this time please. I am an old hand at Word, but a very new user to OOo. I acquired the OOo clip art library and installed it (I'm on XP) but I can't link it into Writer. After a lot of trawling around, I discovered that a) the clip art library only has .svg files, and b) OOo doesn't recognise .svg files. To the extent that if I search Help for .svg, it tells me 'nothing found'. Can you please suggest some way around this. many thanks Anthea
I've tried to get onto the 'open clipart' website but there seems to be a problem with it at the moment. SVG's currently cannot be imported into the gallery (as you've found out). Although draw is a SVG graphic's program it does not import SVG's either. Each time I've donwloaded from openclipart, there has been an option to include jpg's for each of the graphic's ...However this may have changed. Will have to look when the website is working again. In the mean time have a look at the below link of which all will be able to be used by OOo: http://ooextras.sourceforge.net/downloads/artwork/index.php?tab=Clipart Apologies for the time delay in responding.
