Get rid of them? I'm not sure how they're preventing you from editing data. Anchors are there to help position elements. You can anchor to page, paragraph, as character, to character, or to frame. From the OOo help files:
To Page Anchors the selected item to the current page. To Paragraph Anchors the selected item to the current paragraph. To Character Anchors the selected item to a character. This command is only available for graphic objects. As Character Anchors the selected item as a character in the current text. If the height of the selected item is greater than the current font size, the height of the line containing the item is increased. To Frame Anchors the selected item to the surrounding frame. If you're referring to anchors in Calc, you can show/hide them via Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org Calc > View. Quoting Elizabeth Hill <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Anchors. How do I get rid of them?
