Margaret, a friend on another list directed me to purchasing the disk since
I have dialup and everything takes so long. I found the disk by going to
Amazon and putting in Open Office. I believe it was $2.97 plus $3.00
shipping. Sure was worth it to me and I was pleasantly surprised to find a
whole lot of other treasures on the disk. It is called OpenCD, high quality
open source software. Down below it says OpenCD 07.04, Windows Software CD.
and under that it says Frozen Tech. I don't know what all that means but
the bottom line is that you can get Open Office this way and you simply
click on the button that says "install" .

Cannot understand why
(a) it takes such a long time to download and
(b) it is cut off after 90 mins or so although not completed.
I do have broadband so dial-up should not occur.
Your help would be much appreciated as I believe this package to be exactly
what I am looking for now I have just installed Windows XP 2000 Home.
