That last would be grossly incorrect. Millions of office workers have
their email set up by an admin and simply have no say in how it is set
up, or responds. The most that they can do is advise their email admin
about the problem & hope that it will be fixed. Also note that much/most
of the corporate & government world doesn't use Thunderbird (I much
prefer SeaMonkey myself:-) and use what they are required to use for
their work environment.

Give it a rest and just filter on the receipt subject. Better yet just
read & post to the list using Gmane with a newsreader instead.

New list users should be encouraged to participate, and once they've
settled in either via the list server or Gmane they'll be just fine.
