I am using the official downloaded version of OpenOffice 2.2.0, working
on Ubuntu linux.
The problem is that double-clicking on an .odt file does not open it,
not unless I put in the exact path to the program.
This is an annoyance, though I haven't felt sufficiently annoyed to
complain about it until now. It is a bit of a pain to have to either
open OpenOffice and track down the path to the document, or click on the
document and put in the path to OpenOffice.
It was working the same in the previous versions of OpenOffice as well.
Is this a problem brought about by not using the Ubuntu build of
OpenOffice? I hesitate to go to the Ubuntu build because they always
build in a lot of bugs.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
