I've given you the best information available. The short answer to your question is, "No, it's not available in OpenOffice currently, except in OpenOfficeBase." My advice for OpenOffice is for your colleagues to click on FILE > PROPERTIES and fill out the information for each document. Then, when their mouse hovers over the filename, that information will be available for each file. That's the best that OpenOffice can do presently, unless someone else knows something I don't, which I would be happy to learn about.
