It is, of course, strictly possible to *select* multiple by non-adjacent rows: just select one and then use Ctrl+click to select the other. But you are right that it appears not to be possible to *copy* such selections, probably mainly because of the difficulty of knowing exactly what would ideally be achieved in any such copy. For example, if you copied rows 2 and 5, as you suggest, and pasted them at row 12, would you want the pasted values to appear at rows 12 and 13 or at 12 and 15 - spaced as they originally were?

There is a workaround, which involves hiding the rows between the ones you want to select and copy together. As you will imagine, you need to hide (in your example) rows 3 and 4 in order that the required rows 2 and 5 appear consecutive. But note that hiding the rows the easy way - using Format | Row > | Hide (or right-click | Hide) - does *not* work: if you do this, the hidden rows are copied along with the visible ones.

Instead, you must hide the rows using filters. Go to Data | Filter > | Standard Filter... and construct a filter which will have the effect of hiding rows 3 and 4. Now you can select rows 2 and 5 (which appear consecutive) and copy these and paste them elsewhere. The copied version will be of the required two rows only.

Mind you, you may well consider other workarounds more convenient:

o Copy and paste row 2, and then copy and paste row 5 separately.

o Copy and paste rows 2 to 5, and then use Delete Rows to delete the pasted versions of the old rows 3 and 4.

I trust this helps.
