In OpenOffice.org, open one of the files you have saved that has this
problem. Then use File > Save as to open the Save as window. Near the
bottom of that window is a box labeled "Automatic file name extension". It
will probably be unchecked. Click it. Then click Save. Do this for each
one of the files which you have saved since this problem began. This
should solve the problem.
