Canada is part of America and so is Mexico and all the Spanish speaking countries in the southern hemisphere of the Continent. :) What S Perry should have said is this is the English language Openoffice.org mailing list. I live in the USA but I know it is not America all by itself. It is only part of the continent. I also know that the world refers to the USA as America and that none of the other countries on this continent call themselves America. Probably all think it an insult. -- http://webpages.charter.net/jlgates Microsoft users go to http://www.pclinuxos.com for a great user friendly Linux experience! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hmm. I think I was taught that America means the USA, that Central America means the narrow bit containing Mexico and that South America means the bottom piece including little countries like Brazil. Also that "the Americas" means the whole shebang including Canada. Also that "North America" usually refers to the USA plus Canada. As I was once told by someone from Anchorage: let's split Alaska in two and make Texas the *third* largest state ;-) -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
