(or was the 9161 a typo?) 2. Exactly which version of Windows are you using? 3. Exactly which version of which web browser are you using? 4. When browsing do you use a proxy? If so, have you correctly configured it within OO? Tools>Options>Internet>Proxy. This *should not* be necessary (a) because any settings from your old OO should have been picked up by the new and (b) because it shouldn't be necessary anyway. You may have guessed that I'm clutching at straws ;-) 5. What version of OO did you upgrade *from*? Hmmmm. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
Hello Harold/ Thanks for your interest. (Before I reverted to a previous version OO, I thought someone may have some comments!) Answering your questions as best I can: 1. I quoted the version number (as shown in the Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/Support Info) The version as shown in "Help/About OO org. I agree is 2.2.1 I was "steered" to this update by a link that appeared in the right top corner of a document. 2. I have Win XP SP2 3. I am using IE7 (version 7.0.5730.11) 4. I am not sure what you mean by a proxy (I am not very internet knowledgeable), but no changes have been made - so my settings should be exactly as they have been through many previous updates of OO. 5. I upgraded from OO 2.2.0 Kind regards John B Ramsgate England
