I had to do it for Debian Sarge, and I've kept notes. It's just that it needs to be done, it'll take between half an hour and two hours, and combined with all the other things which are also easy to fix, that's several joyless days taken out of my life. That's why I don't upgrade GNU/Linux at all often.
