Sorry, my fault for not explaining clearly. Insert>Sheet from file is
how I am currently doing this but it inserts the CSV file as a new
sheet. What I want to do is append the data to the end of an existing
sheet i.e. fill more rows

Ah. Sorry, I didn't read your question properly. No. I don't thin k there's
a better way than what you are doing - copy/paste from the inserted sheet.

In the late 70's and early 80's I worked with a spreadsheet program that
allowed data entry from text files with syntax like "R34=1,2,3,4" or
"C15=5,6,7,8.9" or even "r15,c37= 1,2,3.5,'someText',10/1/07,67.8" where "r1
means Row 1 and C3 means column 3 (column "c" in our current parlance).
Unfortunately that syntax went the way of all flesh when somebody invented
the overly simplistic CSV format.
