[users] Can't get started

Gooday,

I have installed Open Office from CD supplied by ThinkAll.

There is now an icon on my desktop but I can't progress from it to being able 
to start anything.
What do I need to do?

I an running Windows XP Prof 5.1.2600 (SP2)
and the Open Office disc is dated 2005.
