Installing and/or updating packages is completely different between Linux and Windows. With Windows it is necessary/required to stop all packages and reboot after an install or update. With Linux it is not necessary/required to stop any packages or reboot after an install or update. The only time it is necessary to reboot Linux is if you update the kernel. Quickerstarter does not offer much improvement for speed with Linux Fedora 6. He is probably not even using it, because it is not automatically installed on Linux as it is on Windows. -- http://24.197.142.167/ See the Openoffice.org FAQ Microsoft users go to http://www.pclinuxos.com for a great user friendly Linux experience! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
