Using WinXP Pro and Quicken 2006 Basic I frequently export to Tab
Deliminated (Excel compatable) disk file. I have to modify the name of
the saved file to add .csv to the end. Calc opens it fine when the Text
Import window opens, uncheck Comma and check Tab. This process is not
without problems. Quicken has several bugs, for instance the use of the
clipboard often fails to maintain correct columnar formatting and
exporting the register with splits also scrambles the columns. So far I
have not had the date format effected the way you describe, so I wonder
if it has something to do with your local settings being different than
those used by Quicken.

I just did an export from Quicken. It is suppose to know how to
export to Excel.
When I pulled the file in to OpenOffice, the dates were wrong.
I tried to figure out the bug tracker but I thought I would post here
first. One problem is that I kinda don't want to post this file to
the whole planet. Is there a place I can post it where only a few
more trusted support people can look at it.
The other option is to try and reproduce it with a spreadsheet that
does not have any vital information.
But... one catch is that I do not have Excel. So, I can not verify
that Quicken is actually exporting correctly. I assume it is. I use
to have Excel and I use to do this and never noticed a problem -- but
I might not have checked.
So... let me know what is the easiest way for you guys to look at this.
