As for your original problem, as I mentioned in another note, you are free to delete or leave that version of MS Office on the computer, as it will not affect OpenOffice. However, I seem to recall you saying it was a pirate copy, in which case it's better to delete it. Enjoy OpenOffice along with the other apps on that CD. Should you wish to get the current version, you can download it for free from www.openoffice.org.
