2007/8/8, barbara malpass edwards <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I have OOo (with all my documents on it) on my computer but need to add
it to the new hard drive.
Can I just download it from the site? The ones here are Base, Writer,
Draw, Math, Impress and Calc.
regards
BME
You can download OpenOffice.org from the official site
(http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.1/index.html). It has all the
components you list.
But you'll have to move the documents on your old computer yourself...
(I just answer because you write "OOo (with all my documents on it)°,
but of course your docs are not "on" OOo)

Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
Are you adding an additional drive to your computer?
OR are you replacing an old drive with a new one?
One thing I do is burn a copy of my software install programs, such
as you get when you down load it from OOo's site. Then I have a
copy to load onto anyone's Windows computer - including a new one.
If you are changing out your hard drive for a new one, I would suggest
getting an external drive hookup. This way you can transfer all of your
data file from the old drive to your new one via a USB port. You can get
these from $10 to $40 online. I use one all the time when I upgrade
friends computers - like I will do today.
Also if you can "backup" all of your data files on CD's or DVD's, that is a
good fall back option as well.
If you are going to use a C-drive and a D-drive on your computer , I would
suggest that
you place all of you data files on the D-drive. Then have your programs on
the C-drive.
This way if your system crashes, most likely your data should be safe (if
you have 2 physical drives)
