I don't know why this doesn't work. It works perfectly on my system
using OO 2.2.1, Win XP Pro with Thunderbird as my default e-mail
program. When I do, in Writer, File>Send>Document as E-mail, I get a
blank message with the document as an attachment.
One way round the problem would be to save the document and then attach
it to an e-mail you explicitly create within Thunderbird. Not pretty but
it will work.
