Hi, I have just downloaded OO2.2, and installed it on my 2.0GHz Celeron (with 736Mb RAM) PC which runs on Windows XP Home.
When trying to open any of the OO applications, I get the message 'soffice.BIN - Application Error: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.' I have tried reinstalling in the 'Repair' mode of the 'Program Maintenance' option of the Installation Wizard, but this does not help. Since OO1.x was automatically uninstalled when I downloaded 2.2 (which took a total of 7 hours on my domestic connection), I am now without any program. Is there an alternative to uninstalling 2.2 and downloading it again? Thanks Helen
