What is misleading about telling somebody that their OS might not let them create/edit a document in a third language? > Just out of curiosity, which versions of Linux can I install that support > multiple UILs? All of them. [Regardless of whether you meant "On which version of Linux can a user change the UI language?", or "On which version of Linux can OOo with a multi-lingual UI run?", or "On which version of Linux can I create a multi-lingual document?". If you wanted to know which versions of OOo shipped with a multi-lingual UI, then: * OOo 2.0 ZA, includes 11 languages (I think that this was the first software to ship with a UI for every official language of South Africa.) * OxygenOffice 2.0.3, includes 5 languages; (I think I have the right version number. It might have been 2.0.2.) * OOo 1.1.3-ZA, includes 5 languages; * Palado Office 1.1.1, shipped with Thai and English. (OOo Clone); * ? (Commercial OOo 1.1.1 variant) shipped with Hebrew, Russian, English, and Arabic UI; There might have been a couple of others. Once OOo was released with language packs, I stopped looking for executables that included two or more languages for the UI. xan jonathon xan jonathon -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFGwO4I2o2GPyX/pG0RAql4AJ95P5luASXqbwxG4Qt5wa4sHTEA1ACcDbRm MfSHZab22BYBjxrrajP4pcI= =Sfft -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
