Guy,

Thanks for your response.
I had already downloaded the "howto" you mentioned - I don't understand it. What is fondu? How do I access it?

Also, I did say yes to use system fonts, however, I am using Suitcase Fusion to handle fonts. Consequently, only the minimum system fonts remain 'in the system' There must be some way to manually add fonts from locations other than the system. Page 10 of the "howto" seems to indicate how this might be done but I don't understand all the "code"

I am new to OpenOffice and X11. I need straight forward (translated:

Thank you.

• The easiest way to use the fonts that are already installed on your
computer (mac fonts) is to say 'yes' when at installation
OpenOffice.org asks if you want the mac/system fonts installed.
(The previous problems with fonts on mac have been resolved - see the
Howto_OOo_2.0_MacOSX_english.pdf, point 3 (pp.9-10), to be found on
the website under http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/support.html ---
the 'fondu' program is no longer needed)

• If you want to install more fonts: File > Wizard > Install new fonts
from the Web.

If this doesn't solve your problem, please ask again with more specifics.
