Are you using the official release of OOo with the included JRE, or are
you using a distribution specific release? I was not able to make things
work correctly until I installed the official release that included the JRE.

Thank you, Andrew for the answer.
Java is installed (ever since, e.g. Netbeans works fine).
As I mentioned in my last email, I do have consulted Java Option and
everything seems to be ok.
What else do you recommend?

Find the Java options and see if you have a JRE available.
If not, you really must install a JRE.

Dear advanced OO-Base users,
I am trying to start OO-Base, I can create the database file but when I
click on "Tables" I get an error claiming that the JRE is defective.
However, consulting Java in OO options the correct JRE with the correct
path is shown.
I am not able to use Base. This must be a simple installation problem.
Do you have any idea at least what to check next?
