As you stated that the problem also exists when you attempt to print from other
programs ("from the Internet"), this is a problem with your printer or printer
driver, and nothing to do directly with OpenOffice at all.
You may need to reinstall or reconfigure your printer driver, or perhaps your
printer has a hardware problem, which can range from something as simple as a
loose printer cable to more serious issues.
