Hello,

You close X11 like you would any program under Mac OS X: Go to the
menu X11 (top left, next to the apple logo) and choose Quit X11. X11
may ask for confirmation (Warning: Are you sure... If you stop X11,
active X11 programs will close without saving...).
I don't know about an "exit" command in the xterm window, but I never
use it, and have no problems.

As for your printing problem: you say you cannot print from any of
your browsers. This doesn't seem to be a question linked to
OpenOffice.org... Which browsers?
Can you save the pages you want to print as PDF (File > Print > PDF >
Save as PDF, save with .pdf extension on your desktop) and then print
the PDF file?
I have to save as PDF too when I want to print two-sided in OOo
(problem with the CUPS dialogue): in OOo: File > Export as PDF etc.
