Hi,
Again, this is a bit of a work-around but... do you ever use the
built-in captions in OpenOffice? If not... You can set in Tools ->
Options -> OpenOffice.org Writer -> AutoCaption
Tick the box for table then change caption text style so that the
writing is white and so just appears as a gap. This is a fudge
because of course then if you want to use captions you have to
manually change the text from white to black.
Just a thought though.
Hope this helps

Hi,
I don't really know much about styles but maybe it is possible to
make a style called say 'PostTable style' and have that follow the
Table style and have the spacing at the top of that paragraph?
Like I say I don't know if this would work, just a thought.
As far as I know that will only work if there is something to apply
that
style to. That would mean I either insert a semantically superfluous
element after all tables in my text with such a style. Or I start
defining adapted styles for all "normal" styles that might follow
tables. Both do not appeal to my feeling for esthetics or correctness,
but if no other solution is available that's what I'll do.
Sorry if this sounds a bit negative, that's not my intent. Glad you're
trying to help.
