Hello,
I am with a company that has developed a logbook software(dyna-log.com) for the commercial trucking industry using a spreadsheet format, i.e. scalc and excel. When I engage sheet protection and password protect this work book in say MS Excel, any version, and open it in OOo SCalc, I need not enter the password to unlock and make the workbook editable. This also applies to the vice-versa where I protect a workbook in scalc and open it in excel. No password needed, and any user can fully edit our copyrighted version of the workbook. Please give me any idea on how to prevent this from happening, as I would love to offer your open source software to our customers as an alternative to ms excel, but would hate to think that someone could stumble across this distribute it among our market base. You can contact me at 903.571.9898 or by replying to this email. Thank you in advance for responding quickly to this matter.
