Have you installed OpenOffice.org, or did you just download it? If you
have only downloaded it, you need to install it. Double click the file,
and it does two things. First it creates a folder on the Desktop with the
installation files in it. Second, starts the Installation program. Once
you have installed the program, go to Start > All Programs. Near the
bottom of the list of programs should be OpenOffice.org as a folder.
Inside that folder will be Writer. Double click it to start it. You also
might want to use your right mouse button to drag a copy of this shortcut
to your desktop.
