You'll have to ask Wal-Mart that, though I imagine that since they're in the business of selling stuff, they have to charge something that covers whatever their costs are, plus some profit.. OpenOffice is a free download from www.openoffice.org. However, there are many vendors, such as Wal-Mart in your case, who sell OpenOffice on CD's and provide a service for those who cannot download it. There are also some who charge only for providing a download link and I do not think much of them. There is a list of CD vendors on the OpenOffice site, so it's quite legal to sell it. BTW, what version is Wal-Mart selling?
