Hi,
What you need to do is edit the handouts page. Click View -> Handout
Page.
You can edit the number of slides and their size etc etc on this
page. The number of slides can be selected from the choice on the left.
To move or resize slides highlight a slide and click Format ->
Position and size and make sure neither of the boxes are ticked under
'Protect.'
To add the lines you require just draw them on with the draw tools.
You might also consider registering and voting for the enhancement at
<http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=5261> which deals
with this issue.
