Despite your comments regarding Sun StarOffice, I still suggest that you consider downloading and giving it a try. SO have additional features that help ease the conversion from Excel to SO: http://www.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/whats_new.jsp <quote> Migration tools simplify the move You can use the new Macro Migration Wizard to help you convert Visual Basic macros in Microsoft Word and Excel documents to the StarOffice Basic macro language. It significantly reduces the time and effort needed to convert macros through automatic conversion (where possible) and notes on issues encountered during migration. The analysis reports estimate how long a migration would take and which problems would need to be addressed. For StarOffice 8 Enterprise Edition users, the new Document Analysis Wizard helps you assess the migration issues of your Microsoft Office documents. </quote> If nothing else, you can try the Excel spreadsheet with SO (Enterprise and Windows versions I think), and then later use OOo after SO has converted the macros that it can. Again: SO is free for educators, students, staff, etc., so it can't hurt to give it a try. There is also a free version via Google (Windows only). Perhaps someone from Sun will jump in here and add some advise/comments... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
