Original file opened just fine on OOo 2.2.0 on windoze.
I suspect there's something wrong with your install.

That's the power of UTF-8! It only boils down to whether or not you
have fonts with the correct glyphs.

I have removed OOo 2.2.0 and I'm having a hard time installing the
latest 2.2.1. As soon as it installs I'll take a look. Thanks.

Er, I did mean RPMS. I don't install OOo so frequently, and I forgot
how it is distributed. Much software is distributed as tarballs. I
install from the official RPMs because Fedora removes parts of OOo
that are critical to me. All in the interest of open software, of
course.
