I have not tried ClamAV
I use AVG free version - and it is great
before that I Mcaffee - which was good when I did not have to buy a yearly
subscription
Any "Good" "Free" Anti Virus and Firewall software is good for me. And
if I
can get the same one in Windows and Linux - even better.
BUT to keep it on the thread - Do you think that taking the latest version,
adding and anti-virus software, and creating a fancy looking web site is
worth
$40 or $50?????
I do not.
I do sell OOo, plus add some free open-source software, on a CD
as a fund raiser for a Charity. But not for $40. It sells for $10
and all profit goes to the charity. Of course there is the cost of the
CD/jewel case and the colored lables to subtract for that profit, but
the CD is used for a Charity fund-raiser, not a grab a big profit for
yourself on stuff you did not produce yourself.
and that is my opinion on that.

The Windows version of ClamAV is called ClamWin and it can be found
here: http://www.clamwin.com
I use this on all the Windows boxes I set up for customers. Just for
good measure I use ClamAV on all my Linux boxes. All my e-mail is
filtered through ClamAV, Spamassassin and Bogofilter. The only side
affect is it takes longer for my e-mail to arrive in my mail
client.
