update: i did try out what you asked, in ms excel, and i'd like to explain your situation to others. i don't understand why you keep saying that the cursor goes down and right. to me it looked like down and left...unless you use RTL language. this is something that i don't think can be turned on or off in excel and which doesn't have a standard way of happening. 1. on a blank spreadsheet in ms excel. type ID, Name, Age (or any 3 headers for that matter) 2. make sure that you press tab only and type the 3 headers in 3 adjacent cells 3. press enter after entering in the 3rd cell. it will move down and back to under the 1st heading. however this is not generalized. so it can't be an option. if on the next line you press enter instead of tab at the cell right under 2nd heading (Name in my example), the cursor will go down n the feature of moving down n back left to 1st heading is disrupted. it just doesn't happen. its kind of the "i think you want to write a letter" intelligence of MS office. it isn't something that happens uniformly. so this kind of feature would need a lot of pushing and voting and developer interest to bother about getting started. in my opinion its bad to get used to such luxury extensions. :p -- Diabolic Preacher As Is Blog: http://pintooo15.livejournal.com/ Bookmarks: http://simpy.com/user/dpreacher -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GCS/IT d+(-) s+:+ a22 C++@ UL@ P L+(++) E- W++ !N o?
