I am a reasonable competent spreadsheet designer, and I was in the process
of re-writing a set of multi-page Calc worksjeets when I realised that my
functions were not working. Let me explain ...
Normally, if the first thing you entere into a cell is "=" then that lets
Calc know that what follows the = sign is a formula.
So, if you entered: =3+4
then 7 would be displayed in the cell, after you press Enter.
However, what is displayed in my cell, after I press Enter, is: =3+4
Can anyone explain to me what I need to do to get Calc to accept a formula,
again?
