Hello Beth

My printers don't have draft option anymore, so I can't really tell.
I agree that making OOo talk to the printer through X11 isn't always easy.
Hopefully this will change with the native Aqua OOo!

In the meantime, maybe you could save as PDF, then use your Mac's
viewer of Adobe Reader to print... in draft mode.
