Paul if you try that you will find a negative number will become the lowest indicated. He wants the smalled positive number while ignoring any negative numbers. That was my first try also but testing it showed it was not the answer desired by his post.

Hello,

I would like to find the lowest positive value from a range of values. I
could do it in Microsoft Excel but not able to do so in OpenOffice Cal.
Could you please advise the syntax for inserting the formula for this
purpose?

I found the solution for Excel in this website -

http://www.exceltip.com/st/Find_the_minimum_positive_value_in_Microsoft_Excel/383.html
.

I am currently using OpenOffice version 2.1. Appreciate your kind
attention.

Try min() ... The arguments passed in the brackets is the range of cell
from which you need the lowest value.
