I'm puzzled by this. In my version of OpenOffice (2.2.1 on Windows XP), I need just click to follow a hyperlink in either Writer or Calc. This is true for both text and button versions. What am I doing wrong? ;^) There have been some replies going along with your suggestion that Ctrl+click is necessary; I do not understand this.
Ctrl+click *is* necessary in Microsoft Word, so if you save a Writer document in Word format and then open it (or have someone else open it) in Word (or the Word viewer), it will need Ctrl+click - but that's to be expected.
Is there any possibility to follow it directly with just one click ?
Ditch Microsoft Office and use OpenOffice instead?! Replace your Mac with a PC?
