Check that you have the Danish dictionary installed:
a) In Writer, go to "Tools>Options>Language Settings>Languages"
b) Near the middle is a box. In English this is labelled "Default
language for documents". I don't know what the Danish is for that. It
should say "Danish" (or "Dansk") and, next to the name of the language
there should be a little tick and "abc" in small letters. If it doesn't
say Danish/Dansk change it so it does. If, when the language says
Danish/Dansk the tick/abc is not there then the dictionary is not
installed. Go to "File>Wizards>Install new dictionaries" and follow the
instructions. You should exit the Quickstarter (System Tray, grey/blue
icon with two flying birds, right click and choose Exit) before doing
this as the Quickstarter often interferes with changes to OO's settings.
If this doesn't help, come back here with details of what you did and
we'll have another think. Oh, and also details of the OOo version number
and the flavour (Windows, Linux, ...) & version of your Operating System
