I hoped to make a mess of so many people's computers, i had the best evil plan to destroy many computers but all i ended up with were hordes of happy users laughing at my hopeless plans. p.s. openoffice on low specs hardware (read <=128mb ram n PIII processor) and on red hat 9...was real slow...on the verge of freezing up the system. otoh i also believe i read quite a lot about the fact that desktop linux performance lags behind for the reason that the GUI applications and the process scheduler are so not optimized. probably because the individual developers have to take too many out-of-the-way steps to make sure the performance is better on desktops than the default GUI systems providing functions that are optimized for desktop performance. There was a PDF explaining this, but dunno where i got that from. -- Diabolic Preacher As Is Blog: http://pintooo15.livejournal.com/ Bookmarks: http://simpy.com/user/dpreacher -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GCS/IT d+(-) s+:+ a22 C++@ UL@ P L+(++) E- W++ !N o?
