Could cron run OpenOffice.org with "-headless" soffice -headless -accept="socket,port=8100;urp;" ? (I don't know if -headless works with OOo1.x) Nuther possibility - there seems to be a package "openoffice.org-headless" at least for Ubuntu and it looks like maybe for Debian http://tinyurl.com/324edq http://packages.ubuntu.com/gutsy/misc/openoffice.org-headless Or here's something about using xvfb to run OOo headless as www-data user http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=11890 Hope something here helps.
