I have in general been very pleased with your product but would like to
mention the following problems I have had in hopes that you may improve
them in future editions.
1. several problems occur with IPA in unicode. when an upside down breve
mark (U+032F) is put below a vowel rather than displaying correctly the
preceding letter (i.e. the letter carrying the diacritic) is copied and
move to the right. Actually this happens with all of the 'combining
diacritic marks'.
2. when Tibetan characters are put in a font which does not have glyphs
for them rather than appearing as boxes they take up no space at all. A
result, is that after switching fonts these characters can be hard to
find. (I personally would appreciate it if when one did a global font
change characters not contained in the new font would be left in the old.
Certainly no one would want them to just disappear.)
3. Tone characters look right on screen, but do not combine correctly when
exporting as a pdf. Actually there is also a problem in the display too,
although the tone characters combine correctly each adds a space, so one
can end up with rather long trailing spaces after tone characters which
sould not be there.
4. The sub script ra-btags is not correctly displayed in Tibetan, it
should always appear lower and never bissect other glyphs.
I use windows XP.
If I can provide more information about these problems that would help
developers to fix them please let me know.
