That's interesting... All on WindowsXP: I just opened an .xls file that is 126KB in MSO 2002. I save the file and it saves it as 127KB. I open in OOo Calc and save as a .ods file: the resulting file is 27KB. So, I test in MS Excel: 1. Change text in a cell. 2. Save 3. Resulting file size is 60KB. Odd, so I load it & save it again; this time the file size is 61KB. Wonder what happened to the original 125KB? So I load that 125KB file & save it using a different name; no changes just "save as". That file is 60KB. Go figure.... So I test in OOo 2.3: 1. Change text in a cell (same as in the excel SS). 2. Save As an .ods 3. Resulting file size is 27KB. Not sure what is happening with your system, but mine is showing exactly the opposite of what you are seeing. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
