I upgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.3. Everything appeared O.K. Then I was reading complaints about 2.3 on this users group. So I tried them myself. Sure enough. For example, I read about new problems with Fontworks (of which I use considerably) When moving the fontwork, it moved considerably slower. Then when I switched to change the shape (accessing the fontwork shape icon) the fontwork disappeared all together. At first, I thought, "This will never work." Then I wondered if there were more surprises with Calc, Impress, Draw and Base? Are these new bugs? So I uninstalled 2.3 and reinstalled 2.2.0. I don't know why I didn't reinstall 2.2.1. 2.2.0 executes considerably faster without the Quick starter than 2.3 even did with the Quick starter.
What might be the reason for all this with 2.3? I assume 2.3 was not prematurely released. Is 2.3 really supposed to be for Vista? What's the difference between 2.2.0 and 2.2.1? Greg
