Hello David, Maybe you could get inscribed on the users list, you might find other interestings threads there (and a lot of other stuff you canb throw away...). On a gmail account at least you don't have to worry about the amlount of mails you receive ;-).
We have a little confusion here: a problem that's occurring with the Aqua version, normally doesn't occur with the OOo with X11 version you have installed on your computer. Are you sure what version you've installed? I can confirm what you encounter with the Aqua version, not with the OOo that uses X11. How to see the difference? The rough way: close X11 and see whether OOo remains open. The soft way: when you are working in OOo, what kind of menu do you have next to y-the blue Apple logo (top left?): X11 or OOo?
