Hi Niklas,
I understand the commitments of OOo and would patiently wait for any
further enhancement installed on the OpenOffice. I am aware that the
current DataPilot in Calc 2.3 has the "drill down to detail" feature - I
wish it will also provide a filtered detail result (on a separate sheet)
by double-clicking on the results of the Data Field of the PivotTable.
Besides that, the Pivot Chart was a good feature to have too.
So far, I am quite happy with the current status 2.3 version.
Thanks and regards
Robin

Appreciate if someone can share with me whether Open Office would
further develop its DataPilot functionality to another level such as
1) DataPilot Chart (similar to the functionality of PivotChart in
Excel); and
2) Datamining features (similar or even better that the current
PivotTable in Excel has).
We are continuously improving DataPilot functionality (version 2.3 has
the GETPIVOTDATA function, for example), but we have to balance it
with work on other areas. I gave a talk on the subject at OOoCon last
week, the slides are at

What datamining features from Excel are you missing?
Niklas
