You folks _are_ beginning to realize that this "survey" was a form of spam... right?
It's called social-engineering. You attack a server or a list or a bank account by persuading the participants to do it to themselves. If the originator had said "Reply only to me", it might have been legit. But since he (it's almost always a guy who does these things) asked everybody to post to the list, that was the indication that he wanted you all to do his list-spamming work for him. If somebody gullible hadn't stepped right up, he would have had a couple of his friends "seed" the first few replies to get the responses going. Does anybody really think that it would be productive for thousands of people to get thousands (at least 2481) "me too" posts in their mailbox, most of them not even having bothered to trim off the original text?
