Well, it would have been polite to ask first - on /my/ computer, /I/ want to be the one who decides which my preferred app. is. But actually, that was a minor detail. I still use Lotus SmartSuite a lot on Windows - in particular 1-2-3 - and find it an extremely capable program, even though development on it was abandoned after the Millennium Edition. I had hoped that Lotus Symphony would be based upon that heritage, and that it would also be able to deal with my SmartSuite files. But alas not; Symphony and SmartSuite just don't compare. 1-2-3, aged though it is, is still the best spreadsheet program in my opinion (well OK, I haven't tried the latest Excel offering), and leaves even Calc in the shade in many ways, but Symphony is currently nowhere near the mark. -- Stewart H Posting via Gmane.
