Jean, I too have faced a similar problem sometime back in March 2007 and have filed a bug too http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=75118. My circumstances under which I found the bug was different. Since release 2.2rc1 to date (2.3.0) the problem exists.
This was also discussed under "Date issue on open office.org calc" in this list. Though this is not a solution, if you have time, check whether you get the same behavior if you use 2.0.4 or prior.
