It might be of use to others to know that all I did was to edit the download name - as an experiment - changing US to UK. (It is interesting to me that it is GB not UK that is used in some of the links supplied in these replies.) Anyway, it worked. The download offered was OOo_2.3.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe but OOo_2.3.0_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-UK.exe exists and it works. (Well I haven't had time to test the language version yet but I have opened both the word processor and the spreadsheet.) What annoys me and I wanted to express is that the existence of e.g. Welsh is made explicit, but not UK English. Living in Wales as I do I am comfortable with the idea that UK English will sit side by side with Welsh in "Other Languages" but not with its being hidden.
